Terms of Service

1. What Drilo Is
Drilo is a practice composition tool for volunteer youth baseball coaches. It helps you build practices, remember what you've learned, and grow as a coach over time. Drilo is not a substitute for professional coaching certification, medical advice, athletic training guidance, or your league's safety rules and policies.
2. Who Can Use Drilo
Drilo is available to adults aged 18 and older who have received a valid invite code. Each person may create one account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your invite code with others without permission from Drilo.
3. Your Responsibilities as a Coach
You are solely responsible for the safety and welfare of the players you coach. Drilo provides tools and information to support your practice planning, but all coaching decisions — including drill selection, player participation, and safety judgments — are yours. Drilo does not monitor or supervise your practices.
You are responsible for following your league's rules, guidelines, and safety requirements. Drilo's safety parameters (such as pitch limits and age-appropriate drill filtering) are informational aids, not guarantees of player safety.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use Drilo for planning and managing youth baseball practices. You agree not to:
- Attempt to access other coaches' data or accounts
- Use Drilo for any purpose unrelated to youth baseball coaching
- Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or circumvent Drilo's security measures
- Share your account credentials with others
5. Beta Product
Drilo is currently in beta. This means:
- Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice
- The service may experience downtime or interruptions
- While we take reasonable steps to protect your data (including encrypted backups), we cannot guarantee against data loss
- No uptime or availability guarantees are provided
We appreciate your participation in the beta and welcome feedback to help improve Drilo.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in Drilo, including practice plans, observations, reflections, personal drills, and player information.
You grant Drilo a limited license to store, process, and display your content to provide the service to you. You also grant Drilo permission to use anonymized, aggregated data derived from usage patterns to improve the product. Individual coaching data is never shared with other users or third parties.
You may export your data at any time in JSON format through your account settings.
7. Account Termination
Either you or Drilo may terminate your account at any time. You may delete your account through your account settings. Upon termination:
- You may export your data before deletion
- All your data, including player information, observations, and practice history, will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup copies will be purged on the next backup cycle following deletion
Drilo reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
Drilo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drilo and its creator shall not be liable for:
- Injuries or harm occurring during practices or games
- Coaching decisions made using information from Drilo
- Data loss beyond reasonable backup measures
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of Drilo
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through Drilo and request your acceptance of the updated terms before you can continue using the service. Your continued use after accepting updated terms constitutes agreement to those changes.
